Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), also known as 2 Factor-Authentication (2FA) adds an additional layer of security on top of your User ID and Password.
You will need a device such as an Android or iOS phone, though it is also possible to use a desktop PC if a phone is not available.
- Install an MFA app on your device.
We recommend Google Authenticator for Android or iOS/iPhone.
Other apps can also be used, if they are compliant with RFC 6238, the standard for the TOTP (Time-Based One-time Password) algorithm.
- On next page you will get a QR code as well as an alphanumeric key.
On your device, use the MFA app to scan the QR code, or you can enter the key.
- You can choose to have MessageXchange to prompt you for the MFA code when logging on, or when you browse to a page that requires it. Choose one of the options and click the Confirm button.
- MessageXchange will then prompt you to enter the code from the MFA app on your device, to verify it is working correctly.
